LOGOS HOUSE OF STUDIES

INTRODUCTION

This course of studies has been developed to provide candidates for
the Diaconate and Priesthood with a solid grounding in the academic
areas of study necessary for the effective practice of pastoral and
sacramental ministry. It was developed specifically to conform to
Canons 27 and 28 of the Constitutions and Canons of the Anglican
Church in America, and applies equally to other Conservative
Anglican Jurisdictions, especially those in Communion with the
Traditional Anglican Communion.

The Logos House Course in Diaconal and Priestly Formation has
been developed with the goal of placing well-educated clergymen in
Parish settings. To that end, a course of studies for the Diaconate
(Track 1), and for the Sacred Priesthood (Track 2) has been created.
It is our expectation that the student who successfully completes this
program of studies will be prepared to enter ministry and serve as a
Deacon or Priest in God's Holy Catholic Church. The Bachelor of
Sacred Theology Degree will be awarded to a student who completes
the course requirements of Tracks 1 and 2.

For some students, the Master of Sacred Theology Degree Program
(Track 3) will be more appropriate. Track 3 incorporates all
elements of Tracks 1 and 2, expanding the requirements to include a
more intensive research component. This enhanced program requires
the candidate to write research papers on topics which are approved
by the Director of Studies. This program is also open to those who
already have an STB Degree or Equivalent from Logos House or
other Theological Instution.

The Program in Anglican Studies is designed for ordained clergy or
students from other denominations whose academic credits are
accepted but who need a grounding in specifically Anglican history,
traditions, and practice, and may be substituted for equivalent
courses as indicated in the Catalog.
